I should be making a big deal out of it. Turning 30. I fear it's rather underwhelming. I've kept up the pretence of adulthood for so long now. Another year isn't going to make a difference to me.

Birthday Party Preparartions

I realize that the title of this blogpost can be seen as a prelude to a load of picture with lots of giant cakes and colourful decorations. And let me disapoint you straigh taway: there will be no such thing(s).

27! But I don't feel in the least bit old, merely extremely excited and hoping for either the stripper that I asked for yeserday OR a sports ' enthousiast who'll take me for a quick quarter-thriathlon to pop by. My level of energy is ridiculousy high.

When finally we three ( a well defined group of girls) got to meet again, we had a lovely pumpkin risotto, a good talk, some great laughs. And more in particular I got a belated birthday present. I do not want to overadvertise so you'll just have to click the link, but in fact I'd advice you don't because the website is hideous.

A Very Happy Birthday

1/4 Century

A month from now, I'll celebrate my 25th birthday. I'm quite sure it will be a great dinner/ dress-up party. I'm also pretty sure nobody is going to steal the attention which I think I deserve, away from me. I'm convinced I'll have a good time because of all the things I have to be greatful for this year, but deep deep down I still feel as if I should have accomplished more by now. I guess I'll always feel a bit like a loser.

However, if it's but 'a bit' I can certainly learn to deal with it. This post wasn't meant as a self-complaint but as an invitation.
