All coming back I hope

Every morning to work I cross at least three duck and geese families, all made up of a mother and three to seven littluns. Since I pass hardly any considerable ponds or ditches and ride along quite a lot of busy streets and highways I consider a near miracle that I never so any of them (being) harmed.

I wish the same could be said of hedgehogs and babybirds.

The Cat Returns (aka Rant VIII)

The cat was lost. Or so I was told. As this did not spark in me inconsolable grief, in fact as this did spark in me only pure rage for everyone who has only time to come to me with troubles and problems almost accusing me to be the cause or expecting an immediate remedy of/for them. The unspoken accusation that I cared nothing for those animals that I call my children, only fuelled my anger (as you can imagine).

In the meanwhile, the cat has returned (as I assumed, where could she rather be, than home?) and if it wasn't for my unforgiving charachter we might forget all about the episode.

Quote #46

I loathe people who keep dogs. They are cowards who haven't got the guts to bite people themselves.

August Strindberg

I'll it know that the above is no expression of my personal opinion though.

The New House

Of all my worries one has disappeared over the weekend. I finally visited my future home, claimed a room and investigated the jungle that will be my garden very very soon. I can perfectly picture how happy my chickens are going to be. And even more how happy I will be eating fresh eggs.

Need I say I am thrilled? This will be the best possible place to live, in possibly the only more fantastic neighbourhood than the one I now populate. I propose an extravagant party november 30th. Be there or never ever dare show up again.

It bites.

The price one pays for a pleasurable evening in the fair company of my room's former occupant is a share in the bites of the mosqitos she attracts. As fot everything I turned to the internet for advice.

For the few sorry asses that just like me never have mosquito bites and are suddenly exposed to an exagerated amount of bug-itching; I found this useful advice.

Eating Habbits of the City Pigeon

I know really not much about this but...
during my lunch break I saw one pecking at waste chewing gum. This can be neither normal nor healthy.

The girl talks to animals

Yesterday, being the lazy lazy lazy good for nothing I work very hard for to be, as I was waiting for the tramway to take me to my saturdaymorning classes; I saw a girl feeding her sandwich leftover to wandering pigeons.

So far, nothing out of the ordinary. Not even the fact she tried to recommend her sandwich above the spat out chewing the curious little beast were also pecking at, no no. I expect nothing less than to hear how good wholewheat bread is for little birdsie hearts. But to apologise-at length, even- when I should accidentally hit a bird with a pice of crust well i probably wouldn't, but she did and earned my life-long respect in the process.

30% eh...

that must be were the smell comes from.
You Are: 30% Dog, 70% Cat

You and cats have a lot in common.
You're both smart and in charge - with a good amount of attitude.
However, you do have a very playful side that occasionally comes out!

Penguins

While discussing plans for the future, I let slip that I would very much like to move to the very South of New Zealand and never come back. Somewhat offended (I think) a friend said" But then you will be as far away as possible from us" To which I replied: "Yes, but as close as I can get to penguins." She did not seem to think the relative distance to penguins at all important for anybodies happiness and well-being. Which only goes to show; love her though I do, she will never understand me.

Not Rudolph then...

You Are Comet

A total daredevil, you're the reindeer with an edge!

Why You're Naughty: You almost gave Santa a heart attack when you took him sky diving

Why You're Nice: You always make sure the sleigh is going warp speed
