Rationalisation

I wonder how none of my friends ever stumbled upon this before. It very much reads like the sort of thing they like to shove under my nose.

I tend to strongly disagree with this emphasis on rationalization. Mere acceptance is a far better method, otherwise I shouldn't do all the things I'm doing and enjoying, since rationalizing would tell me that I'm a foolish, reckless cow.

(NB, does the word 'emotionalizing' exist. If not, we should rally for the recognition of it. If somebody asks you why you're acting this way or another, you would no longer have to give the pathetic answer 'because I feel like it', but you can say 'this was my decision after some serious emotionalizing', which is far more eloquent :-)

Another related word: Lourdesgevoel.
Though not a miracle solution for universal happiness, this peculiar feeling can save the day if you just don't have time to feel down. A definite plus of this approach is the fact that it leaves ample room for insulting other people (think about it...)
The base-line here is: I might be ..., but all of these people (like ... and ... and ..., for example) are far worse off than me.
Though I must also agree with Curly: emotionalizing is ... eloquent (I was going to type 'the shit', but it kind of ruined the eloquency a bit...)
